Our Principal and Staff
Our professional, university-educated teachers encourage students to develop a love of learning and a desire to succeed. They maintain the highest integrity and concern for your child's wellbeing.
The principal is responsible for the educational leadership and management of our school. If you would like to speak to the principal, please contact our office to make an appointment. Our school administrative staff can answer inquiries or direct you to the appropriate staff member for assistance.
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a respectful, caring learning environment, where everyone can succeed.
Welcome from our principal
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Glendore Public School. As Principal, I am proud to lead a vibrant and inclusive school located on beautiful Awabakal Land in the western foothills of Newcastle, which serves the growing communities of Fletcher and Maryland with dedication and care.
At Glendore, our vision is “Where everyone can succeed.” We place student learning and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. We achieve this through a strong focus on evidence-informed teaching practices, with explicit instruction at the heart of our approach. Our dedicated staff work collaboratively in professional learning communities to ensure continuous growth in teaching and learning.
We are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where every child is known, valued, and cared for. Our whole-school approach to wellbeing embraces trauma-informed practice, restorative approaches, and the promotion of respectful relationships, ensuring that all students can thrive.
Beyond the classroom, students are encouraged to pursue excellence across academic, cultural, sporting, creative, and leadership opportunities. We are proud of our strong Aboriginal education partnerships, our inclusive culture, and our wellbeing team who support every learner to reach their potential.
Together with our staff, families, and community, we strive to nurture confident, capable, and compassionate young people who are well prepared for the future.
I warmly invite you to connect with us and discover what makes Glendore Public School such a special place to learn and grow.
